D-Snap Benefits
Hawai’i Disaster SNAP Program to provide a one-time payment – Saturday, September 23rd at the Lahaina Civic Center from 8am to 7pm.

American Red Cross
Up to $2,500 in assistance – HI Help

People’s Fund of Maui
$1,200 per month in assistance. You rule Oprah.

Lahaina Rise
One-time, $808 payment per person for completing a two minute form – Get Help

Hawai’i Association of Realtors
Disaster Relief Assistance – Maximum of $3,000 per househould for monthly mortgage expenses, rental cost and hotel reimbursement

Global Empowerment Movement
If you lost your house (rent/own) to the Kula/Lahaina fires, have 2 forms of proof of address, a photo of your damaged house, and new lease, go pay the office a visit from 11am-3pm at the address below.

Salvation Army
Apply for future assistance at the Maui College including recovering possessions, clothing, lodging, financial aid, etc.

FEMA
Critical Needs Assistance program – One-time, $700 payment for critical needs. Includes food, water, infant formula and other child necessities, as well as medical supplies and equipment.

Hawai’i State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations
Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits program – must be filed by September 25th, 2023

Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA)
Apply here by September 25th, 2023 if you believe you qualify. Minimum of $254 to a maximum of $763 for the weeks beginning August 13th, 2023 to February 10th, 2024.

MOAA Foundation Crisis Relief Fund
Grant from the MOAA Foundation. Visit the website to check eligibility and fill out the application online.

Shelter

American Red Cross
Go to one of their various locations such as the Maui College and meet in person or call +1 (808) 244-0051 to speak with a representative to be placed in a hotel for up to 6 months

Realtors Association of Maui
Maui Kokua – to provide housing or if you need housing

Complete this form if you can provide housing

Maui Wildfire Recovery Program
Shipping Container Homes to be given away FREE in Olowalu to those misplaced – at recenters.org

Transitional Sheltering Assistance program – FEMA will pay for hotel rooms for eligible, displaced Maui residents.

Petition to Delay the Reopening of West Maui to Tourism on October 8th
Sign the petition to delay the reopening of tourism on West Maui. From the petition:

“We firmly believe that before any reopening takes place, it is imperative to consult with and prioritize the needs of these working-class Lahaina residents. Delaying the reopening will allow for a more comprehensive and inclusive approach that takes into account the welfare and well-being of all West Maui residents and visitors alike.”

Great one stop shop – Offers help through FEMA, SBA, Red Cross, Immigration (social security cards, green cards and biometrics), birth and marriage certificate, veterans affairs, hazard mitigation (providing information to prevent future losses on your property) & department of taxation (but we are forgive of tax)
